Are my PDFs private?

Yes. All the work happens right on your device, so your files are never sent to us or anyone else. That makes these tools a good fit for private papers like bank statements, contracts and ID documents.

Why can't I open my PDF?

If a PDF has a password, it needs to be unlocked first. Open it in the app you normally use, then save a copy without the password and try again.

Does "Make smaller" change my PDF?

It turns each page into a picture, which usually saves a lot of space on scanned papers and photos. The catch is that you can no longer select or search the words, so keep your original too.
